HAND PIE?
Just like the name says!
It’s a pie that you can hold in your hand.
At Carter & Rye our hand pies are breakfast pastries reminiscent of Cornwall's pasty, the empanadas of Latin America and fried pies of the American South. Think of them as an elevated Pop-Tart or Hot Pocket — only flakier, richer, and more delicious.
Our flavors rotate often, ranging from cozy, comforting classics — like brown sugar cinnamon and sausage, egg and cheese — to bold, unexpected combinations — like pepper jelly cream cheese and prosciutto and mozzarella with canteloupe jam. Trust the crust!

Every pie is made individually, by hand, from scratch. We always use high-quality butter in our crust, as well as fresh, local ingredients in our fillings whenever possible.

We're your special weekend breakfast spot. Visit us Friday through Sunday mornings on Center street and seasonally (May through mid-October) at the Omaha Farmers Market in Aksarben Village on Sundays.
Come early to ensure you get your favorite flavor of the week! Grab some frozen hand pies (along with our heating instructions) so you can eat them all week long. Buy a dozen, and get one on us.
Behind the scenes, Carter & Rye is a seven-day-a-week operation. We’re always rolling dough, filling pies, baking, and prepping for the next weekend.
